Perfect imperfections

"If you picture happiness and everything great in your life as a diamond, then any negative things that may happen are just the setting making this diamond shine even brighter." -Anastasiya Goers

The timing was perfect when I stumbled upon this quote. I've never claimed to have a perfect life, but it is important to me to try and find the positive in every situation.
For those of you who know Zac and I well enough, you know we get along very well together and very seldom do we have arguments or "fights." But unfortunately we are human which means unfortunately this does happen on occasion.  Fortunately, though, this means our sense of life balance gets a check and our love is tested.
You guessed it, recently we had one of these moments. ...and boy, we couldn't have came back from this stronger.

We took the weekend to bond as a couple and regain our sense of life balance. Drayze got to stay with grandma Michelle {he needed a break from us too, I'm sure} while we packed up and headed up the mountain to camp.
Night one was absolutely amazing. We made our little outdoor home in Santaquin Canyon. Our tent being held down by three decent sized rocks and our one camping chair to share was perfectly complimented by the relaxing sound of the river running behind us and crackle of the fire. We enjoyed each other's company over tinfoil dinners and a couple {few} drinks.

Day two didn't go quite as planned, and it couldn't have been better! Well we attempted to move our camping home to Yuba Lake where we were meeting some friends. The first hour we were there was great. Then, it began to rain. We played a game of 31 {card game} in the back of the SUV with Marlow and Tiarra thinking the storm would pass. After about an hour of pouring rain and soaking wet blankets we decided to pack up and head in to town. We gathered at Tiarra's for a good bbq, a few good conversations, and even more good laughs with the pals.  Zac and I wrapped up the night relaxing in the hot tub discussing how perfect our weekend had been and how incredibly happy we are with our {Simple} life.

Life deserves a few good hiccups every now and again. Without these imperfections life would never be as enjoyably perfect as it is. We need these moments to be able to keep our relationships strong and remind us of the {simple} things worth cherishing.

...like this awesome rainbow we saw!
