Cheers To 27 Years

Capricorn season is amongst us yet again, which means I am but another year older. Twenty-seven years young...or am I at the awkward point in life where the aging begins and I'm required to come to terms with being on the fast track toward "old?" Who/what determines such a thing anyway? What I do know is, twenty-six year old me was a bit of a shit show. Phew, we made it through, thank you Jesus!  I couldn't be more thrilled to put such a year behind me. Okay, okay, not 100% of the past 365 days were all nonsense, quite a few of them were quite nice, actually. Isn't it amazing how the average, often times labeled "boring," days can seem so insignificant, but as the days pass by and we look back, it is all of those "insignificant" days in which create our stories! Here is a little recap and randoms of the twenty-sixth chapter in my skatterass'd story!

1. I typically hate my own birthday and usually make plans to pout all the day long. This year, since I'm working on being a better version of myself, I am committed to making the day a great day. 
2. When I was a young teenager my dream was to learn how to tattoo and become a tattoo artist. 
3. I was then going to open a barber shop where I'd have a tattoo shop connected, yet in its own space. This dream shop would also include coffee and clothing. 
4. I'm trying to find the courage, knowledge and commitment to make this old dream a reality. 
5. I have been insanely in to crime shows lately. The ID channel is where it's at. 
6. And Shameless is my shit. I'm basically a Gallagher. 
7. However, I really don't watch much television at all, and am the WORST at remembering movie tites and actress/actors names.
8. I eat {pork flavored}  Ramen Noodles once a week, on average, and I thoroughly enjoy it. 
9. My sweet husband surprised me with a puppy, who we named Smalls, right before Thanksgiving. 
10. He can be an annoying little shit, but makes the best little pal and his snuggles are the magical sleeping remedy. 
11. I live by my planner(s) and save them at the end of the year because they're like journals to me. 
12. My dream home is an old fixer-upper with a huge porch and lots of character. 
13. I {almost} always make it a point to return my cart at the grocery store, but I'm not perfect, occasionally I do leave it in the parking lot. 
14. If I were to guess, I probably ate $500(+) worth of tacos from the little taco shop in Nephi throughout 2017. 
15. I am extremely self-conscious about the stretch marks on my stomach.
16. I am currently keeping track of my mood each day and the phase of the moon to see if it plays a roll or not. 
17. I honestly do believe I couldn't have find a better man to be my husband and babies daddy. 
18. I have a legit phobia o f cats, but I have made incredible improvements the past couple of years. 
19. My two favorite holidays are Independence Day and Halloween! 
20. I love having my nails painted but have a super annoying habit of picking the polish off when I'm antsy. 
21. I have 7 nieces and 9 nephews who I couldn't be more proud of and in love with!
22. Camping is definitely my favorite summertime activity. 
23. I'd choose to swim in a lake and camp in a tent rather than some of the fancier alternatives. 
24. My favorite part of the Holiday season is the Carmel Brûlée Lattes at Starbucks. 
25. My mom and little sister are the closest female relationships I have in my life. 
26. And, I've had the same best friend since high school and I couldn't be more blessed that our friendship has been so solid through all life's chaos. 
27. I am excited to grow old! 

So there ya have it. 27 random thoughts about yours truly! I'm not sure how the number of people who take the time to read my silly blog grows with every post, but thank you all for the love and support!
