Allison, one of my very dearest friends, birthday {November, 19} called for a celebration, and a much needed reunion of our closest girlfriends. First things first, we needed to catch up over Olive Garden salad and "fancy drinks" before the night could really begin. This was the perfect start to what was about to become one amazingly wild night.
We were right in the heart of downtown Salt Lake. This made for endless possibilities. First we went to a popular bar, Gracie's. We talked with a couple neat women, met up with more friends, had one too many drinks, and enjoyed {finally} being together again. I even met a cute group of ladies who were out doing the same thing we were. They were in their late 40s and were all friends in high school. I loved this. Gave me great confidence we will continue to get together throughout life.
Once we grew bored of Gracie's, it was on to the next one. I can't quite recall the name of the bar we were headed to, but I do remember it was 10 blocks away. God bless the gentleman who gave us a ride on his bike and carriage. We found this so humerus. Over 400 lbs of girls on a carriage pulled by a single man. Can you imagine the burn?!
The new scenery of this bar did not disappoint. Drink after drink, laugh after laugh. We were living.
Finally, we finished the night at Wasted Space. By this point the night was mostly a blur of laughter and mind erasers. {thanks for that, Audrey} As they called "last call" everyone had somehow split up. I was incredibly lost and a little scared. I called Zacary {my knight in shining armor} he arranged for a cab to get me to him at his buddies house. 20 minutes, 40 dollars, and a heart to heart with the cab driver later I was safe and sound. Thank god for my amazing husband who made sure I had a big glass of water, piece of bread, and a couch waiting for me.
The night may have been a little wild, but it was one of our best nights together as friends. We had so much fun and made so many memories we will continue to talk about for years to come. Happy birthday Allison. We did it right.
