3 months later...

We have all heard new parents say "having a baby changes everything." Over the past three months we have found this statement to be very true. Yes, a child comes with sleepless nights, days full of a screaming child, and a new financial load. Having a child also brings new experiences, more laughter, new meaning of life, and more love than any one person can fathom. The past three months hae been a learning experience. It has been hard, we won't deny that, but even more than that, it has been nothing short of amazing.

The day we brought Drayze home our small apartment shrunk even smaller as we were bombarded with baby gear. Babies WILL pee, poop, spill, and spit up on everything. A tidy home {even while cleaning all day long} is a  thing of the past. Now, there are bottles, wipes, diapers, toys, blankies, binkies, burpies, etc. etc. etc, everywhere. We quickly learned our home was no longer about being cute and nice. Instead, our home is a place for giggles, snuggles, kisses, and play time.
It didn't take us long to appreciate the fact we are in this together. Parenting is definitely a job for two {or a whole army}. It would be nearly impossible to keep up on the house, laundry, grocery shopping, making money, and alone time {just to mention a few} with out the help of each other. The baby only naps for so long and tends to wake up at the most inconvienent times. I seriously give props to those parents who do it on their own.
Drayze has come a long way too. He now giggles, "talks" can reach for his toys, holds his own head up, splashes in the tub, and even sleeps through most nights. He has also figured out to cry to get what he wants, and is extremely close to rolling over. He has made some friends at day care and is quite the mommies boy. He and dad are best pals, he will really sit on Zac's lap and watch whatever sport is on the TV. He is ALL boy.

Parenting definitely takes {a lot} of work and patience. It is something we wouldn't trade for anything though. Despite the stresses that come with being a new parent, I believe I can speak for both of us when I say it is the most rewarding experience thus far in life. I never imagined we would really make it this far or that it was possible to be this happy and in love.
